Jeanne Simpson is a Retired Headmistress, Loughborough, Leicestershire
Jeanne talks about her surgery experience.
“The biggest change for me after having lens surgery, is being able to read music and being able to see the conductor in the choir in which I sing.
Singing is very important to me, it’s part of who I am and as my vision deteriorated it was incredibly disheartening not being able to perform to the best of my ability. Also, when my grandchildren came into the world, I didn’t want to miss a thing. Sometimes it’s the simple tasks which most of us take for granted, where I find myself really appreciating having perfect vision. For example, going shopping and being able to read price tags and labels without having to fumble through my handbag for my glasses. I’m delighted with my eyesight now and take great joy in talking to others about my experience and recommending the treatment to other people.”
